Upstream

The band Upstream has five members, three of which are brothers, hailing from the beautiful island of Trinidad. They are Johny on the drums. Dereck on bass, guitar and vocals. And last but not least, Haile on guitar and vocals. Stokely joins the three brothers on bass and vocals as well as John McKnight on keys, guitar, bass and vocals. John, Mr. multi-instrumentalist, was already familiar with the Hen House because he recorded here with Fishbone. But it didn’t take long for the rest of Upstream to get comfortable. And before we knew it, The Hen House was blessed with a few more wonderful songs. Upstream’s music is difficult to categorize. It’s a cross between reggae, rock, metal and funk.
