Lonnie Marshall aka Weapon of Choice


Lonnie Marshall is the songwriter, lead vocalist and bass player for his band, Weapon of Choice. Lonnie was voted one of the top five bassists in the 1996 issue of Bass Player Magazine, Funk category.

Lonnie Marshall has performed on recordings of Tone Loc, Ice Cube, George Clinton, Funkadelic, Fishbone and many others. Performing live, he has played with The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Macy Gray, Chaka Khan and Queen Latifah to name a few. Check out his distinct brand of playful, swaggering funk as he strolls through a vivid landscape punctuated with falsetto swirls and that ever-present thumpin’ bass.
