H.B. Surround Sound

H.B. Surround Sound speak for themselves here:“Many people ask us how we got the name H.B. Surround Sound. So after explaining it too many times, here it is for all that don’t know. All five of us grew up in Huntington Beach, leading to the H.B. Each member of the band was influenced by different as well as similar styles of music.

“While Jon Jon was pounding his bongos to his impressive reggae collection, Doug was learning as many Heavy Metal, Metallica, NOFX, and Led Zeppelin riffs that he could. In high school we all were deep in the local music scene as we still are today…This is where we got Surround Sound.

“All of the different varieties and styles of music and sounds we heard that surrounded us as we grew up now come out in our music. So we thought it would be the best way to have a name for a band, as well as, describe how we got to the style and sound that we have today. The style and sound that is H.B. Surround Sound.”
