Steed aka Aaron Kyle
| Steed is the name of a new band based in Los Angeles. The group is lead by singer / songwriter Aaron Hettler, who started writing music at an early age. He now writes all of Steed’s songs that range from stories about relationships to alcoholism. Aaron also sings and plays guitar for the band. Steed is also comprised of James O’Toole on bass and keyboards, Nick Roberts on drums and backup vocals and Corina Apodaca on vocals. Their music could be described as a cross between country and early 70’s folk. Steed ’s sound is melodic and the lyrics will make you think. You might say that Steed is a new band creating music from old influences. |

Aaron Kyle aka Steed appears on “Hen House Studios Anthology 3″ (CD) The third installment of four from our Hen House compilation series featuring bands from in and around southern California who recorded in our studio for free in exchange for the right to be filmed. Highlighted on this CD are Fishbone’s front man Angelo Moore as Dr. Madd Vibe, Australian sensation Max and the Orange County Reggae band Upstream.

Aaron Kyle aka Steed appear in the Documentary Film “Welcome 2 The Hen House” (DVD)In 2000 Hen House Studios opened its doors in Venice, CA, announcing they would be recording independent bands for free, well kind of, the recording time was free and in exchange the sessions along with out of the studio encounters would be filmed. CD compilations were made as well as a music doc short for each band which is posted on their frequently visited website.
